I am not a morning person, I like my sleep just like I am sure many of you do. Even though I love to look glamorous, I, unfortunately, do not always have time to be able to get all dolled up every morning. I am also a big time procrastinator and I always wait till the very last minute to start my make up. However, I have managed to learn this quick, everyday, makeup routine for these hot summer days.
Here I have some of my favorite products to use to create a perfect, simple summer every day look.
I always make sure I moisturize my face before applying any products, this helps my face stay nice and moisturize all day and it also adds a layer so my foundation goes on nice and smooth. This moisturizer has been my favorite for a while now, it really helps with my dry areas such as around my nose and my forehead.
This little number is a facial spray that I like to apply before applying my foundation. It has nutrients, botanicals, and cucumber essential water to leave your face feeling nice and revived. Once I apply this spray to my face, I feel a cooling sensation and it makes me feel fresh and revitalized.
The Urban Decay foundation has been by far my favorite foundation. It stays on all day and I don’t have to use a lot of product in order to do cover my entire face.It is full coverage foundation so it might feel heavy for some people. I like to use the shade 6.0 in the Urban Decay but since I have gotten a little tanner, I have to mix it with a darker foundation and that’s where the Too Face foundation comes in place. I have to mix my Urban Decay 6.0 foundation with my Too Face in the shade Honey to create the perfect mix for my current skin color.
This concealer is by far my favorite to use for either everyday makeup or if I’m going for a glam look. Their formula is super concentrated and it works just as well as any other higher end concealer. It has a soft sponge at the end that makes it easy to apply to the face. I use it under my eyes to make me look more awake, as well as the bridge of my nose and on my forehead to brighten my face. If you are not sure about concealers, I would purchase one that is one shade lighter than your foundation so that it is light enough to brighten your face but not too light where it makes you look like a ghost. I use a beauty blender to blend everything out so it doesn’t leave any harsh lines and to blend it with my foundation.
Summers tend to get really hot and if I know that I am going to be sweating then I tend to make sure that I set my face. I normally tend to use my beauty blender and dip into the powder then apply a decent amount on my face, it let it set in and then I remove it with a brush with no additional product. This finishing powder is great if you want to avoid looking oily in pictures or in person. It really does work wonders!
For my eyebrows, I like to start outlining my eyebrows from the end and slowly making my way down to the center. This pomade is very creamy so I have to make sure I have a light hand and when drawing my line. I try to make sure I make light strokes with my brush to give it a more natural look. This has been a go to eyebrow item for a really long time now. This product can handle sweat, water and anything else that life throws at you and it also lasts a really long time. I have had this container for over 2 months because a little bit really goes a long way.
Unfortunately, the blush that I used on my video is no longer available but his hourglass blush is very close to the one that I have. Still, has a pink tint to it as well as some shimmer. This blush really gives some color to my face and brightens my face. I apply it to the apples of my cheeks. Normally, I like to apply this with a big powder brush so that it can be easy and fast to apply.
I have tried all kinds of mascaras in the past 2 years but once I came upon this mascara, I fell in love. I am blessed to have long eyelashes but they are very thin. I needed a mascara that would give me, even more, length and volume. I apply a couple coats of mascara, let it dry and then apply a couple more to add more drama to my eyelashes. Since this mascara is super affordable, I don’t mind going heavy and using a lot of it on a daily basis. I always tend to go after the waterproof mascara because I am an emotional person and I never know when I will end up needing it.
This look could not be a summer look if I did not have any highlight. This is by far one of my favorite highlights to use this summer. It has gold tones that go great against my tan skin. This highlighter does all the hard work for me. I typically apply this at the high points of my cheeks, down the bridge of my nose, the end of my nose, on my browbone, and the inner-v of my eye. Now, If I am feeling adventurous, then I will also take this powder and apply it on my shoulders and my collar bone to emphasize my collarbones and give me an overall glowing look.
Once all of my make up is done, I like to go in with the NYX Finish Spray and spray it all over my face to set my make up. I used to always buy the Urban Decay Setting Spray that retailed around 30 dollars but once I tried this setting spray, I never went back. Even though this is affordable, it still works as good as any other high-end spray. I’ve had situations where I would have to be out all day and then go out at night and my makeup stayed on and didn’t even move thanks to this beautiful piece.
I don’t always do this step, but if I want my lips to have some color my go to lipstick is the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit in the shade, Kristen. Out of all her lip kits, this is a perfect summer look because it’s very close to my lip color with just a hint of coral. This lip kit dried matte and stains all day so I don’t have to worry about reapplying and carrying the tube around because it lasts.
